I have a W&G Ring, it is from the time period of 1889, it has the anchor hallmark, the hallmarks read : W&G 6?
i would like to find out more about it

go to a jewellers or an antique shop they will be able to tell you alot more than anyone on here probably will be able to without seeing it!
also ask whoever you got it from a bit about it and where they got it from etc… it could lead you into interesting areas you never thought about
try looking on the internet for people who have a similar thing
